Welcome, my name is John Davis and I am the owner of an on-going project to build a 747-400
Airliner Simulator. The Simulator is fixed based which means at present it has no motion system. Planning for the simulator began in 1999 and the first three years were spent acquiring computers
and testing software with the first sections being constructed in 2002, it has been built by myself
and my long suffering brother Martin whose help and teaching in various skills has been invaluable.
The project incorporates many commercially available pieces of hardware and approximately 30 software programs which make the whole thing run, most of these have been written by friends
I have met both in person and on the Internet during the construction of the Simulator and my
thanks goes out to all the people who have contributed to the success of the project.
