The Main Instrument Panel is situated in front of both Pilots and displays all of the information needed to conduct a safe flight. Both Pilots have Identical computer screens,
one is called the “Primary Flight Display” (PFD) and the other the “Navigational Display” (NAV). The PFD shows all the flight information such as Speed, Height, Pitch and Roll and also data for instrument approaches. The NAV display shows such things as the route to be flown, waypoints, Navigational Beacons, Compass headings etc. In the centre of the Panel is also a screen called the Upper EICAS which shows information about the engines and status messages of the Aircraft Systems.
