Along with the Autopilot the Flight Management Computer is one of the most important parts of the Automated Flight System of the 747-400. It is used to control many aspects of flight such as Fuel and Balance, Take-off Speeds, Route Data, Vertical Navigation (VNAV) and includes the Navigational Database.

The Simulator has one fully working unit at present, the First officer FMC is a mock up with a fully working screen, this will be replaced and one more unit will be added at a later date making 3 in total.
